The map Canavieiras represent a are between the seashore line and the meridian of 39 grade 00' W and the 15 grade 30' and 16 grade 00' S paralels with an surface of 544 squar kilometers. The map, prepared at 1:100.000 scale, shows five of the nine ecosystems identified at Bahian Cacao Region: semi-evergreen sclerophylo coastal forestry, evergreen paludoso coastal forestry, higrophylo evergreen "riparian" forestry, paludoso continental forestry evergreen and higrophylo evergreen forestry facies colonia. The use of a graphic symbology has permited the representation the introduces and spontaneous vegetation, the physiognomy and structure of this vegetation, as also the ambiental factors responsible for its geographic distribution.
