A note on the incidence of oestrus in goats
A study was made to observe the incidence of oestrus in goats. Though the goats are not seasonal breeders like sheep, reports exists showing significant influence of months on the incidence of oestrus. The highest incidence of oestrus was in October (20.86 percent), followed by that in September (13.47). The lowest values were in February and March. The incidence of oestrus in October was significantly higher than in other months. The incidence of heat was significantly low during January to March, though the lowest number was observed in March
