Scope for domestic policies under the WTO
This document comments on the Uruguay Round has changed the environment in which agricultural policies are enacted. For the first time, there are very little limits on what countries can do to influence markets prices, and farm income. The Agreement on agriculture imposes restrictions on both the type of instruments that can be used and the level of suport which can be granted through those instruments. (MV)
