Guyana. Significant Achievements 2020

The main activities carried out by the Institute in Guyana during 2020 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, identifying issues in rural development, support for rural women, food security and agro-tourism. Likewise, among the achievements carried out, the progress of the different projects implemented, the extension activities in the dissemination of information with forums, training and research are recognized. The COVID-19 Special Fund for the Caribbean Region supported the project for the production, adoption and consumption of biofortified crops, as part of a strategy to address diseases in CARICOM.
