Impacts of substitution of forests by pasture and Impacts of the burning, on the organic matter, chemical properties of the soil and growing of Brachiaria decumbens Stapf., in Itapetinga-Bahia
This work quantified the impacts of substitution of forests by pasture and the practice of burning as usual way of pasture handling. It also compared the organic matter and chemical properties contents of the soil in different depths (0 to 10, 10 to 20 and 20 to 30 cm), in soils below of pasture with and no burning, in soil below of forest, and also evaluated the differences in root growth of brachiaria-grass (Brachiaria decumbens Stapf.), in Chermossolo below of pasture and forest in the municipal district of Itapetinga, Bahia.
