Итальянская саранча Calliptamus italicus (Linnaeus, 1758)

The evolutionary-taxonomic, morphological-anatomical and ecological-geographic features of the Italian locust, or Italian locust, and related species are characterized. The spatial structure of the population systems of this species and its role in orthopteran communities and in ecosystems as a whole are described. Special chapters are devoted to the management of populations of locust and other harmful locusts. Traditional and modern approaches in this area are considered, including those based on geographic information systems. The monograph is intended for ecologists, biogeographers, entomologists, specialists in the field of plant protection, as well as for students and postgraduates of relevant specialties.
