This Regional Plan of Action to Prevent, Deter and Eliminate Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated IUU Fishing (RPOA-IUU) has been developed by the joint Regional Working Group on IUU fishing (RWG-IUU) of WECAFC which includes two sub-regional organizations, the Caribbean Regional Fisheries Mechanism (CRFM) and the Organization for Fisheries and Aquaculture of Central America (OSPESCA), and was presented at the 17th Session of WECAFC in July 2019 for review, endorsement and implementation at national and regional levels.
