Natural resources and the human environment for food and agriculture

This report is a first attempt to interrelate at global level population pressure, natural resources use and management, with particular reference to increased food and agricultural demand and the ensuing environmental issues. It gives a global overview of the principal natural resources, discusses some specific impacts of the intensification of agricultural production, selected environmental problems, and legislative aspects, and finally draws some conclusions on the requirements for better assessment and management of natural resources
