World list of forestry schools
In response to a recommendation of the World Consultation on Forestry Education and Training, which was held in 1971, the first issue of the World List of Forestry Schools was published in 1974 to facilitate communication and exchange of information on forestry education and training throughout the world. In view of the continuing demand for copies of this List, it has been decided to publish an updated version based on information received from many sources. The List is by no means exhaustive. Therefore, any suggestions for further additions or amendments will be much appreciated and will be used for the improvement of future editions. It is planned to issue another list of institutions which provide training for forest industries. I take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to all those who in one way or another have helped to produce the present improved List and to request users to assist us in the preparation of the proposed World List of Forest Industries Education and Training Institutions.
