ADVANCES IN APPLIED BIODIVERSITY SCIENCE [ELECTRONIC RESOURCE].

This study integrates population, land use, and hydrological data to identify important areas for downstream hydrological services. It notes significant overlap with key biodiversity areas, presenting opportunities to maximize utility of preserved areas. It also iidentifies critical gaps in conservation investments in Africa and finds that countries such as the Comoros, Ethiopia, and Somalia are in serious need of greater conservation support from the international community
