Effect of phosphate fertilizer on year plant cane and ratoon cane cultivated on the cerrado soil

This work was carried out aiming to evaluate the effect of phosphate fertilizer rate (0, 60, 120 and 180 kg ha-1of P2O5) over sugarcane yield and sugar yield on a dystrophic Dark-Red Latossol, with medium texture. The experimental design was a randomized block with four replications. The phosphate fertilizer increased yield of the plant cane and ratoon cane. The stalk average was also affected by the phosphate fertilizer. The 120 kg ha-1 of P2O5 was the highest profitable rate.
