Variability of some factors affecting seed production in Centrosema pubescens
The variability of number of pods per plant, seeds per pod, maturation period, dehiscence of pods, seed dry weights, diseases and insect resistance on Centrosema lines and their influence on seed production were observed under field conditions between 1967 and 1971, at the "Baixada Fluminense", Brazil. The variability of these characters is sufficient to suggest that they would all be useful in a selection program aimed at improving Centrosema lines for seed production.
