The use of a quadratic model to determine the size and shape of plots in experiments with cowpea intercropped with corn
Two uniformity trials, one with "cowpea" (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.) alone and the other one with "cowpea" intercropped with com (Zea mays L.) were performed. To measure the relation between the variation coefficient of the plot and its size, a quadratic model was used, which showed a good adjustment to the obtained data. The nature of the fitted surfaces are studied through contour plots.
