Morfología polínica de las especies de Ludwigia(Onagraceae, Ludwigioideae) del Noroeste de Argentina

Cecotti Álvarez, Mario D.; María E. García; Nora J. F. Reyes; Alberto C. Slanis. 2017. “Palinologycal morphology of the species of Ludwigia (Onagraceae, Ludwigioideae) from northwestern Argentina”. Lilloa 54 (1). The pollen morphology of seven taxa of the ge - nus Ludwigia (Onagraceae, Ludwigioideae) present in northwestern Argentina is described: L. bonariensis , L. decurrens , L. grandiflora ssp. hexapetala , L. major , L. octovalvis , L. peploides ssp. peploides and L. peruviana . The observations and measurements of acetolized and non- acetolized pollen grains were carried out under light microscopy (LM), whereas for scanning electron microscopy (SEM), non-acetolized grains were used. Pollen grains of these taxa are suboblates to oblates, tricolporate and subisopolar symmetry, with prominent, aspidate pores and present in monads (33-84 ?m) or collected in tetrads (52-102 ?m). The viscin threads, characteristic of the family, are mainly inserted into the proximal pole. The colpi are narrow and short or long. The sculpture of the exine varies from rugular to rugular - striated fine. Meridional and lateral crests are observed in some taxa. Palynological differences between the entities studied are analyzed and a key is offered for their identification.
