Germinación y viabilidad de semillas de Amburana cearensis (Fabaceae)

Ayarde, Hugo R., 2006. ?Seed germination and viability of Amburana cearensis (Fabaceae)?. Lilloa 43 (1-2). Amburana cearensis (Allemao) A.C. Sm. is a species of great forestry importance that has decreased its population and distribution area in the Northwestern of Argentina. Some features of its early development of the species are analyzed in this study. The results show an acceptable seed germination (45 to 90%) and viability (2 years) and the characteristic that some factors such as seedtime and class of soil are decisive in the initial growing of the seedling. These results indicate that with adequate practices the species recovery in the area is possible.
