Kretzschmaria deusta was identified as the causal agent of a decline and subsequent death observed on plants of Citrus paradisi “red grapefruit” commercial orchard located in Colonia Santa Rosa, San Martin department, province of Salta. Previously K. deusta had been reported on non-cultivated plants in Tucumán; hence this report extends the distribution of this species in Argentina.
