Anatomy and foliar architecture of Amomyrtella güili (Speg.) Kausel (Myrtaceae)

The aim of this study is to contribute with data which allows the characterization of Amomyrtella güili (Speg.) Kausel, from its foliar anatomy and architecture. The work was carried out on fresh and herborized material collected in different localities from Salta and Tucumán provinces. Species exhibited presence of dorsiventral mesophyll, uniseriate epidermis, parenchymatic sub-epidermal layers next to the adaxial surface, anomocytic stomatas, secretory cavities, idioblast with calcium oxalate crystals, simple and unicellular trichomes, venation pattern is pinnate-camptodromous-brochidodromous, areoles well developed, veinlets present or absent.
