Mirande, V., S. E. Haleblian, G. A. Barreto & B. C. Tracanna. 2009. Biodiversity of Pre-Delta National Park (Entre Ríos, Argentina). I) Phytoplankton richness. Lilloa 46 (1-2). The aim of this paper was to contribute to taxonomical knowledge of phytoplankton richness of Pre-Delta National Park. At present there is not one ambiental and phycofloristic knowledge about water bodies of this park but there are information concerning with its fauna, flora and geomorphology. Seven sampling sites were selected corresponding to lotic and lenitic environments. To extraction of qualitative samples, 32 liters were filtered by means of a net with a 20-ìm mesh and the samples were fixed with 4% formaldehyde in situ. The phytoplankton was composed by 102 species belonging Cyanophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Charophyceae, Dinophyceae, Bacillariophyceae, Chrysophyceae, Xanthophyceae and Euglenophyceae, with a more richness of species in lenitic environments. Our results have showed that the group of diatoms realized the most contribution in taxa into the community. Thirty five species and six varieties are reported for the first time in Northeast of Argentina. In the Entre Ríos Provence thirty five species and six varieties were also recognized for the first time. All taxa cited in this publication are new cites in this study area.
