Morfoanatomía foliar y radical en plántulas de Fragaria ananassa var. Camino Real (Rosaceae)

Lizarraga, Sofía V.; Ana I. Ruiz; Patricia L. Albornoz. 2016. “Foliar and root morphoanatomy in seedlings of Fragaria ananassa var . Camino Real (Rosaceae)”. Lilloa 53 (1). Fragaria ananassa var. Camino Real is one of the most cultivated varieties of straw- berry in the province. The aim of study was to characterize the foliar and root morphoanat- omy in seedlings of this variety. The material used was fresh and fixed in FAA. Conventional histological techniques were used. The results show a condition of germination epigeic when they have 20 days, with cotyledons photosynthetic reservants and four unifoliolate eophyls. Cotyledons with actinocytic and anomocytic stomata and glandular trichomes on both surfac- es. Unifoliolate eophyls with anomocytic and hemiparacytic stomata, simple and glandular trichomes and calcium oxalate crystals on both surfaces. The root main is axonomorfa with lateral branches. Primary growth with diarch stele and secundary early without polyderm. The diagnostic value elements that allow characterize F. ananassa var. Camino Real are: epigeous cotyledons, 4 unifoliolate eophyls, root main axonomorfa with lateral branches, types of sto- mata, trichomes and calcium oxalate crystals, diarch stele in roots with primary growth.
