Research at the University College of Caracas. Promotion work
This article sketches Caracas University College teachers´ research between 1980 and 2001; in order to describe such investigations with regard to their Promotion Papers. Through a descriptive bibliometric method, based upon quantitative data which information and statistics are handled by tables bar and pie charts; It concludes that in 22 years the teachers have presented 248 papers; of which the richest research years correspond to 1985, 1986, 1988 and 1996; 58, 25, 46 and 25 ascents papers respectively; and only 14% of the studied areas correspond to the internal themes of the Institution, conforming the remaining amount predominantly themes related to Humanities and Education with 38% and 27% Administration; so it can be concluded that Caracas University College is placed below average in relation with national recognition such as the Research and Innovation Incentive Program which for 2002 had 2200 research on Venezuelan Intellectual Propriety System.
