RUINS OF MODERNITY AS TOURISM AND HERITAGE OF URBAN COUNTERCULTURE

The social panorama of the world from the second half of the twentieth century broughtwith it the breaking of paradigms and beliefs that underpinned the project of modernityand the industrial revolution. Europe was the first to demonstrate the decay of the modernproject, ruin appears with the decline of the industrial model and this will initiate newsocial movements that will try to adapt by establishing a found way to see andinstrumentalize the new reality. These times of change would be the scenario of thecounterculture, this countercultural pattern has as its main iconography the urban andindustrial decline. At the same time, the so-called cultural tourism has emphasized theevidence of the counterculture as the mark of a historical event, especially in Europe,there is increasing evidence of the phenomenon. The present article tries toexplore the low processes that this happening of our times gives.
