Reconstructive surgical resolution and clinical aspects of facial neoplasia (mastocytoma) case in a feline species patient. Case Report.

In this case report work, the clinical aspects and the reconstructive surgical resolution of a facial neoplasia (mastocytoma) case in a feline species patient, European Common race, castrated male sex, age 1.5 years old, black coat and 4 kg. of weight, treated at the Veterinary Hospital of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences of the National University of Asunción are presented. The patient came to the consultation due to a mass in the facial region presence, with 5 months of evolution. Clinical examination finding in the region of the lower left eyelid a rounded lump of approximately 2 cm in diameter, painless and on palpation fluctuating. Cytological puncture was performed, the findings of which have been interpreted as a proliferative process compatible with Mastocytoma. We proceeded to prednisolone treatment and surgical resection of the tumor mass and aesthetic reconstruction using the pedicled skin flap technique. Post-surgical follow-up was continued for 15 days, where an improvement in the clinical picture was evidenced and the first intention successful healing of the surgical wound.
