Flora vascular de la porción guerrerense de la Sierra de Taxco, Guerrero, México
THE FLORISTIC STUDY FOR THE PORTION OF THE SIERRA DE TAXCO IN THE STATE OF GUERRERO, MEXICO WAS CARRIED OUT, COVERING 730 KM2 OF THE MUNICIPALITIES OF TETIPAC, PILCAYA, TAXCO DE ALARCON, IXCATEOPAN DE CUAUHTÉMOC AND PEDRO ASCENCIO ALQUISIRAS. A DATA BASE WITH 4 139 RECORDS WAS OBTAINED. IT INCLUDES 1 384 SPECIES AND 570 GENERA IN 150 FAMILIES OF VASCULAR PLANTS. FIVE MAIN TYPES OF VEGETATION WERE FOUND: TROPICAL DECIDUOUS FOREST, QUERCUS FOREST (CONSIDERING CONIFEROUS ASSOCIATIONS), CONIFEROUS FOREST, CLOUD FOREST AND GALLERY FOREST. THE FAMILIES ASTERACEAE (209 SPECIES AND 79 GENERA), FABACEAE (152 AND 50) AND POACEAE (80 AND 39) ARE THE MOST REPRESENTATIVE IN THE AREA.
