González Catán and Virrey del Pino: private cemeteries, pollution and popular habitats

In the demarcation between the towns of González Catán and Virrey del Pino (La Matanza party), the deterioration of the urban environment is increasingly noticeable for the lives of its inhabitants. In this sense, product of the installation of the CEAMSE company between the end of the 1970s and the beginning of the following one. And, the emergence of private cemeteries on Scarlatti Avenue as a result of real estate speculation during the 1990s. That, generated the deterioration of the quality of life, for example, in the neighborhood Nicol (name that means neither school, nor collective ), its inhabitants suffer the ups and downs of urban dysfunctions in our spatial cut. The objective of this work is to analyze the extent of the deterioration of the quality of life resulting from air pollution, floods, lack of services, etc., in one of the most neglected sectors of the party. The methodologies used are based on the analysis of secondary sources, qualitative strategies, such as a visual tour for the survey of land use at the microlocal scale, landscape typification grids, among others.
