Avifauna of Jujuy Province, Argentina: list of species (no Passeriformes)

The no Passeres of Jujuy Province, Argentina, are analyzed based upon four main sources: specimens housed in the Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales of Buenos Aires, in the Félix de Azara Collection, Buenos Aires, in the Museo de La Plata and Franco Bona Collection, La Plata, in the Fundación Miguel Lillo, Tucumán, and in the Instituto Argentino de Investigaciones de las Zonas Aridas (IADIZA), Mendoza, from field sight records and from bibliographical citations which include precise localities. A list of 287 species belonging to 40 families is presented. Limosa fedoa and Myiopsitta luchsi are cited for the first time, and Calidris minutilla for the second time, in Argentina. First records with precise localities are provided for 27 species. New localities are given for 156 species.
