Construction of a false nest of stones and attempted incubation of stones by a pair of Gallinula chloropus galeata Lichtenstein

A pair of Gallinula chloropus galeata in captivity built a nest of rounded stones and placing in it two more or less egg shaped white stones proceeded to ?incubate? them, adopting the normal procedure followed in the case of incubation of eggs, even to the extent of turning the stones each day.
