Simulación de la evolución del tamaño de grano a lo largo de la profundidad de un glaciar, usando el método Monte Carlo en tres dimensiones

“Simulation of the grain size evolution throughout the depth of a glacier, using the Monte Carlo method in three dimensions”. A three-dimensional numerical model of grain growth using Monte Carlo algorithm is presented in this work. The model is applied to ice cores from ice caps. The model includes the effects of the particles, bubbles and aniso- tropic grain boundary energy. The previous works demonstrate that the grain growth is af- fected by the size and the density of the particles. With present model is demonstrated that the effects of the particles and the anisotropic grain boundary energy are multiplicative.
