Maxiine Parris-Aaron, an Agricultural Health Specialist and member of the IICA Delegation in Guyana, has a Doctor Degree in Veterinary Medicine from The Tuskegee University in Alabama, USA; has experience in the field of agriculture, veterinary medicine, food safety, facilitates the development of women agro-processors in Guyana and Suriname, has facilitated business development among grassroots and micro-enterprise in Guyana; supported the preparation of emergency animal disease preparedness manuals in many Caribbean countries, has been involved in assessments of veterinary and food safety services in at least five Caribbean countries through the application of the IICA PVS tool, has completed an assessment of an abattoir in one OECS country. has aided in the assessment of animal disease simulation exercises in three countries.is a trained One Health Leader and a member of the One Health Ream in Guyana; facilitates food safety training and is a member of Guyana's National Codex Committee which she previously co-chaired, is the chair of the e UNDP GEF-SGP in Guyana. she has co-authored a few scientific publications and assessments.
