Quarterly Report to the 151st Meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives: Ninth Issue - April to June 2020

COVID-19 response and impact remained a critical factor during this period. There were opportunities for innovation and there was a greater appreciation of the importance of nature-based solutions and the link between health and environment. The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) responded to the Secretary-General’s message on building back better by formulating a buildingblock strategy for the COVID-19 response. The response is backed by extensive communication and the involvement of stakeholders to develop a road map for recovery
