Terminal Evaluation of the UN Environment Project: Development of a National Implementation Plan in Brazil as a first step to implement the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs)

This report is a terminal evaluation of a UN Environment-GEF project implemented between 2011 and 2015. The main overarching goal of the project aligns it with the obligations of the Stockholm Convention (SC), namely to protect human health and the environment through the implementation of the SC. The projects objective, as stated in the Project Identification Form (PIF) is: To develop the National Implementation Plan (NIP) in accordance with the requirements of Article 7 of the Convention, taking into account the guidance adopted at the First Conference of the Parties.
