Mumienporträts und verwandte Denkmäler : Klaus Parlasca y los textiles funerarios decorados del Egipto prerromano
Abstract: Klaus Parlasca is one of the researchers who has contributed the most to the advancement of Greco-Roman Egyptian archaeology. One of his most important publications was Mumienporträts und verwandte Denkmäler (1966), focusing on mummy portraits from Roman Egypt. One aspect of that work that has tended to attract less attention is its importance for the study of decorated funerary textiles of Pre-Roman Egypt. This article seeks to assess the book’s relevance within the framework of current studies on the subject.
