On physical examination, the abdomen is soft and depressible, without peritoneal irritation. On palpation, she refers abdominal discomfort. In the blood analysis, she presents leukocytosis with neutrophilia, and a increase of LDH, amylase, and PCR. Abdominal X-ray shows a big distension of the large bowel. An abdominal CT with intravenous contrast is requested due to the suspicion of acute abdominal pathology.
