Relation of leaves numbers a florewing time and wasted at reproductive cycle with bunch weight in plantain bunch plants under black Sigatoka attack

Abstract The reproductive cycle of plantain (Musa AAB cv Horn) plant last 70 to 90 days (12 +/- 2 weeks). The leaves numbers at initation of that cycle have to 8 to 10 under the Maracaibo lake basin conditions. Four leaves could be damaged until the cycle, even if some agents, like the fungus Mycosphaerella fijiensis, black sigatoka disease agent, could be accelerate that damage. On a plantation planted 2,0 x 2,5 m located in the Colon country, Zulia state, km 33 of the road Santa Barbara - El Vigia on Chamita serie soil (Fluventic eutropets) with 1.800 mm of precipitation, it was selected complete raudomized trial at 431 plants of two generations flowering and harvested time (days and leaves numbers), bunch weigth (kg), and flower stalk gross (cm) close to first bunch hand. It was calculated bunch holding days and leaves wasted calculated numbers. It does not relation between bunch weight and leaves number at flowering and harvested time nether with the wasted leaves and bunch hording days. It has relation between flower stalk gross and bunch weight, it indicate a bunch normal development. Black Sigatoka disease was located on the oldest leaves but it did not appeared on the four leaf
