On non-abelian representations of Baumslag-Solitar groups
ABSTRACT The goal of this paper is to study the set of non-abelian representations (nab-rep) of the Baumslag-Solitar groups, with n,m non zero integers, into SL(2, ). We use such information in order to show, which it is well known, that for |m| > 1, BS(1, m) is a linear group. Moreover, we prove that its representation image into the Möbius transformations is an elementary and non discrete subgroup.
