Panorama de las relaciones políticas y la seguridad del área del Atlántico, como consecuencia del transtorno económico

During the 1984 annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Washington, D.C., it was discussed that the international financial system had survived the global debt crisis. However, the glow of success in Washington D.C. was unparalleled elsewhere. This paper is based on the premise that the debt crisis has not been overcome, but is just entering a more difficult and, perhaps, more dangerous phase. We argue that the Atlantic Community must take more decisive action to redefine South America's debt burden in political, not financial, or technical terms. This will allow us to redirect our focus to the security aspects of the debt dilemma.
