Cuba : una opción latinoamericana de inserción internacional

Cuba returns to Latin America when this region returns to the Inter-American path and plays the Latin American option, seeking to increase its opportunities and its capacity to negotiate with the United States and its direct inter-American reintegration with the lifting of Washington's economic sanctions. In this paper we argue that Latin America is the most appropriate setting for Cuba to carry out the painful learning required to progressively achieve international reintegration. The regional experience can be a source of inspiration for its policies of adjustment, stabilization and productive transformation; accumulated professional capacity can be a reliable resource for technical assistance and commercial exchange a strategic complement to that of extra-regional partners.
