PF 22. Evaluation of pure cultivations and associates of Panicum maximum and Centrosema sp. related with cut frecuencies

With objetc of evatuate and compare the dry metter yields of leafs, stems and total dry matter of biomass, were cultivate the species Panicum maximum, Centrosema brasilium, Centrosema pubescens and Centrosema macrocarpum cultivated field pure and separate, as soon as the respectives associations grass-legume, under three diferents cut frequencies (4, 6, and 8 weeks). The trial was do it in the zone of “El Laberinto” of Zulia State, classificated as Dry Tropical Forest. An experimental design was used in divided plots with factorial arrangement of 7 x 3 treatments. The results obteined describe the best performance for the associate cultivations, being the Panicum with Centrosema macrocarpum association with the highest performance (512.89 gr. MS/0.5 m2), the pure culture of Centrosema macrocarpum obtained the best performance (245.00 gr. MS/0.5 m2). The cut 3 frecuency (F3 = 8 weeks), determined higher performance. For the relation leaf - stem, the P. maximum showed better effect (19.57) followed by the association of P. maximum with C. pubescens with 8.43, and a diminish was observed with increments in the cut intervals.
