UWI modifies matriculation requirements for undergrads

UWI modifies matriculation requirements for undergrads. The University of the West Indies has announced its decision to modify the matriculation requirements specific to the new academic year amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The Board of the Undergraduate Studies met and approved that students who have passed at least two CAPE subjects in either Unit 1 or 2 will qualify as normal matriculants. UWI says that its decision is grounded in specific analysis as research on students' predictive performance shows that passes at CAPE Unit 1 were 97% predictive of success at CAPE Unit 2.
