Dr. Jeannine Remy: Starting Life Over in Trinidad
Dr. Jeannine Remy gave up a 10-year teaching position at Idaho State University and started life over in Trinidad, where she presently teaches pan at the Creative Arts Centre at the University of the West Indies. Remy, who was born in Wisconsin, USA was here for the first time in 1989 to collect data for her dissertation at the University of Arizona. Remy has a musical background with special emphasis on percussion and decided to make here home and teach pan. She has composed pan pieces for solos, duets, ensembles, quartets, and pan around the neck.
