Steelbands Need to Focus on the Future
The article comments on Steelband Week which was sponsored by Pan Trinbago in commemoration of the declaration of the steelpan as the national musical instrument some four years ago. Tarradath opined that the steelband movement was more intent on preserving the past than in inventing the future and noted that there was little additions/improvements to steelband technology.
