Ear Specialist: Panmen Turn Deaf Ear on Doctor's Claim

Joseph Matherson, leader of the Carib Tokyo steelband and panbeater, openly disagreed with the 'discovery' by Ear, Nose and Throat (E.N.T.) Specialist, Dr. Mohammed Aziz, who claims that panmen are going deaf from the sound of their own instrument. Matherson felt that Dr. Aziz's report was not a comprehensive one involving all panmen. Reynold Kingsale, leader of Y. De Lima Blue Diamonds endorsed Matherson's remarks and hoped that Dr. Aziz's report would not deter aspiring pan beaters.
