Caribbean Report 29-07-1988

This program features a report on the United States’ response to a letter sent by CARICOM leaders to President Regan regarding an apparent lack of regard for the sovereignty and independence of Caribbean legal systems by the US in the fight against drug trafficking. Also featured is an update regarding the successful lawsuit filed against former Haitian dictator Jean-Claude Duvalier and his family by the Haitian Government. The program also reports on the signing of an historic agreement between the French and Grenadian Governments.
