The SWEEP concept: a cost-benefit analysis

SWEEP demonstrates a new concept for weed control on hard surfaces. The concept aims at a substantial reduction of herbicide emission to surface and soil waters. The concept is a decision support system with protocols that guarantee a substantial reduction in herbicide use and emission. Only a limited amount of herbicides is allowed under specific conditions and no herbicides are allowed when a pavement is close to surface water used for drinking water production
