Europees suikerbeleid in beweging; Beoordeling van de hervormingsvoorstellen van juni 2005
Dit rapport beoordeelt de voorstellen van de Europese Commissie aangaande de suikermarktordening op een aantal punten. Allereerst zijn de gevolgen van de voorstellen voor het inkomen van de landbouwers geanalyseerd en is ingegaan op de vraag of de bietenteelt in Nederland gehandhaafd blijft. Hierbij is voor de daling van de opbrengstprijs uitgegaan van twee varianten. Vervolgens zijn de effecten van de voorstellen voor de Europese suikermarkt in het kader van de internationale afspraken nagegaan. This report assesses a number of points in the proposals of the European Commission regarding the sugar market regulation. First of all, the consequences of the proposals for the incomes of farmers are analysed, and the question is addressed of whether sugar beet cultivation will continue in the Netherlands. In this, two variants are taken as the basis for the reduction in the yield price. Next, the effects of the proposals for the European sugar market within the framework of the international agreements are ascertained.
