The Role of technology in distance education

After presenting a brief overview of current trends in distance education, the first part of the book is devoted to course design, with chapters on wordprocessing, broadcast television, satellite and cable television, videocassettes, video-discs, computer-aided learning, radio, audio-cassettes, and home kits. The second part looks at course presentation and administration while the last part consolidates the various media, providing a brief scenario of what course design and presentation might look like in the near future
