Women's education, training and employment in Poland

This document opens by introducing the problems which Polish women face when choosing between professional and family roles, or attempting to combine both. This subject is discussed in detail by outlining the policies and programmes regarding education, training and employment. Equal rights have been fully recognized, but the problem of role priorities mentioned above, and an insufficient number of policies to aid the working mother, prevent many women from realizing their full personal potential. Nevertheless, women have achieved increasing representation in spheres traditionally confined to men, an increase in women's education, and measures to facilitate re-entry into the labour market after a protracted absence. The report concludes by stating that this trend will continue to be pursued in the move towards realizing the ideals of a democratic society
