Lifelong learning during adulthood
The report presents the current stage of educational research on lifelong education of adults in USA and mentions problems facing adult educators and planners with regard to the future of adult education - Recently more attention has been given to learning as an integral part of life of all adults. Characteristics and educational needs of adult students are being examined, as well as educational infrastructure for adult learning. Further research is recommended on better understanding of adult learning processes, administrative organization of the providers of educational opportunities, the role of lifelong learning in social change and the interactions between learners, education providers and society.
