Education and ecstasy

Society as it is developing is being much affected by technological advancement and increasingly sophisticated communications. It will soon be essential for everyone in society to experience lifelong education to keep pace - Todays schools are not equal to the task whilst they continue with educational policies designed to meet yesterdays educational objectives. The discontent with the present system demands change rather than destruction. Educational development must produce a system which is voluntary, joyful and a lifetime experience for its own sake. Our present educational objectives can be achieved in one third or less of the time if appropriate educational technology is applied, giving enormous potential to expand to objectives as yet unimagined. In the future children will learn delight, not aggression, heightened awareness and control and not just the skills of the ongoing cultures. Detailed illustrations of such a system are given. Education at its best should be ecstatic.
