Learning system design: an approach to the improvement of instruction
Instructional design consists of a systems analysis method to ensure optimum effect of teaching effort and educational media on learning processes - Instructional design often begins with a task analysis which identifies in detail the particular task to be learned and leads to the formation of educational objectives. Task analysis is then applied to the teaching activity, using the knowledge acquired from educational theories and the information on the target population of the course. Learning theories to be applied are those dealing with motivation, learning of problem solving methods and of perceptual motor coordination skills.
