National educational and training policies: Philippines

Official report from the Philippines for the 1973 ICE outlines educational policies on secondary education in relation to manpower needs - At present there is a distinction between general education and vocational education and they are run by separate educational administrations. But the Presidential Commission to Survey Philippine Education suggested to merge them into one administrative unit. The report covers educational aims, relation of secondary education to manpower needs, educational policy trends particularly those emerging from the proposals of the Presidential Commission
